| Software Test Engineer – Intern |
| Job Type: Internship Location: Seattle, WA |
| Responsibilities • Design test plans and test cases for mobile and web applications • Find, triage, and document bugs worth fixing • Conduct ad-hoc and scripted manual tests • Convert manual test cases into automated cases in an existing framework using Python or JavaScript • Investigate test failures and customer reports using your technical understanding of the product and tools (such as logs) to narrow down repro issues steps and isolate the root problem • Contribute to test frameworks, test tools, and automation for complex, distributed SaaS systems • You ensure the product is tested at the appropriate level (unit vs integration vs end to end, API vs UI), reducing unnecessary test cases, intermittent failures, and decreasing execution time. • Drive quality processes like bug triage, releases decisions, and feature completion criteria • You mentor and develop your other team members. Qualifications • Available for a 12-16 week internship during summer of 2020 • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as IT, Engineering, Math, Physics or similar with Computer Science coursework or minor • Coding experience with any programming language (Prefer experience in Perl/Python/JavaScript) • Familiar with front-end technologies, REST web services and/or Databases • Strong testing aptitude • Strong level of curiosity |

| Software Engineering Intern – Summer 2020 |
| Job Type: Internship Location: San Francisco, CA |
| Responsibilities • Write client-side and server-side code for the Databricks platform • Work with a team to deliver features or improve architecture • Commit a change to production within the first month • Proactively seek feedback and input from other team members and team • Be able to deliver on small, well-understood deliverables spanning weeks Qualifications • 2020 or 2021 graduate working on a BS/MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject • Proficient in Java, Scala, Python, or other general purpose programming language • Previous internships where you produced production quality code • Good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and OOD/OOP principles • Available for minimum 12 week internship in summer 2020 |
