DATA ANALYST INTERNSHIP |
Job Type: Internship Location: Cincinnati, Ohio |
Responsibilities • Delivering analytic insights in several business domains including consumer, customer, digital, market & share performance. With a combination of analytical expertise, data and system knowledge and business insight, you’ll answer and anticipate critical business questions and opportunities and deliver critical insights to the business in ways that make significant impacts. • Building analytic capabilities to grow your organization’s knowledge. • Developing in-depth business, analytical, and systems knowledge to improve/build analytical solutions, approaches, and business recommendations. • Demonstrating data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Excel), and analytic tools (R, SAS, JMP, Python, Spark) to grasp the business insights from our mountain of data• Collaborate with multi-functional teams (Consumer Research, Finance, Marketing, IT, Sales) Qualifications • A technical leader with strong academic results and have 1 summer before graduating with a Bachelor or Master’s • Degree in a quantitative field (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Analytics (or related degree) • Have experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis with analytics techniques to solve defined business problems • Have strong social skills and the ability to communicate and influence agreement to your recommendations • Have experience telling stories and selling with data and insights • Are self-motivated to work with diverse business scenarios, handling multiple priorities and have a business & consultancy mind-set, while technically (data) savvy • Have a passion for discovering new things and ability to learn quickly • Are available during the Summer of 2020 between mid/late May through early August. |

Data Science Intern |
Job Type: Full-time Location: Boston, MA |
Responsibilities • As a Data Science Intern, you will work closely with BIS data science and internal partners to identify and answer important product, marketing, and strategic business questions. You are naturally curious and have a real passion for all things data-related. You have an analytical mindset and can provide insights using internal BIS data. You will answer product questions by using appropriate statistical techniques on available data. You are dedicated to gathering clean data and will drive the collection and refinement of existing data sources. You will design and prototype DL models using structured and non-structured data to push the boundaries of creative statistical modeling. You will also analyze and interpret the results of AB tests. Qualifications • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics (or related field), and/or within 1 year of their post-graduation date • Strong math skills in general, especially linear algebra and statistics • Fluency with Python (and libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, scikit-learn) • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL • Experience or course work applying basic ML to a type of data and or have used algorithms to conduct experiments on data • Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to other critical partners • Comfortable with large data sets and distributed computing tools on cloud is a plus (Spark, Map/Reduce, Hadoop etc.) |

Marketing Analytics Intern |

Responsibilities • You will develop state-of-the-artanalytics and data science solutions to solve/optimize technical problems in operations and engineering areas. Special focus on image analytics and deep learning. • You will utilize big data analytics tools and apply analytical techniques for data retrieval, preparation and discovery • You will implement data science algorithm and utilize big data advanced analytics platform to create applications for stakeholders • You will create visualization output to illustrate prediction result Qualifications • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program • Pursuing a degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical engineering, Data Science or other related area • Programming experience in Python, Keras, Tensorflow or PyTorch, computer vision libraries (OpenCV), Flask and/or Django • Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text processing • Deep understanding and experienced in modern machine learning/deep learning techniques • Experience in data mining, big data analytics application data preparation and other analytics techniques. |
