Responsibilities
• Participate in standardized onboarding and training

• Get hands-on experience with impactful analyses
• Interact with senior leaders and interns from other functions

Qualifications
• Junior or Senior majoring in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from early June to late August
• Presently authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis

Investments Financial Analyst Internship
Job Type: Internship
Location: Northbrook, IL
Responsibilities
• Analyze financial statements and prepare adjustments.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly investment reports to meet GAAP, Statutory and tax requirements.
• Verify the investment system interface with the corporate general ledger to ensure accurate accounting for investments.
• Work closely with other departments and assist in the processing and accounting for Investments.
• Review multiple systems and dashboards to monitor cash and time series data to ensure that it is being recorded accurately and consistently across the various systems. 
• Apply cash settled at the custodian against the cash flow forecast in the accounting system.
• Confirm and allocate all trades for Bank Loans and coordinate all legal documents.
• Develop a general understanding of the loan close process and assist Loan Closers as needed.

Qualifications
• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree which reflects an interest in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related area of study.
• Working knowledge of the Investment Industry in general
• Work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrate initiative, creativity and a high degree of self-motivation
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments
• Analytical skills – strong attention to detail, with the ability to critique and interpret data as well as formulate sound decisions.
• Strong organizational skills – ability to perform tasks & achieve results independently and as part of a team, consistently meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple assignments effectively.

Investment Analyst Intern 
Job Type: Internship
Location:  New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Market research and adhoc analysis related to the investment portfolio and its performance, asset classes or the investment outlook
• Support monitoring activities of AM’s investments or market developments in general with updates of key reports and writeups
• Help coordinating key processes such as evaluation of new investments, external manager reviews, and implementation of new investment programmes.
• Contribute to the preparation of committee materials
• Work on daily tasks, such as market / monitoring report production, meeting preparation, and ad hoc items
• Support cross-department projects and initiatives, e.g. coordinate knowledge sharing sessions

Qualifications
• You are either close to completion or have already completed your university degree in Finance, Science (Math / Physics) or Economics
• You demonstrate a solid understanding of financial market functioning, data analysis and/or macroeconomics Proficiency in MS Office applications. VB programming, Bloomberg skills are a plus
• You are fluent in English, with an aptitude to express yourself effectively in oneon-one conversations and small group
• Highly motivated, with an open mind set, and eager to learn
• Good research and analytical skills, with the ability to apply concepts to financial markets in a rigorous, concise and timely manner
• Able to focus and pay attention to detail without losing track of the bigger picture
• You have the capacity to readily adapt to a changing and dynamic environment as well as being innovative and showing a high degree of own initiative
• Teamplayer, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills

Accounting Internship
Job Type: Internship
Location: New York, NY
Responsibilities
• Completes bank and/or account reconciliations.
• Performs filing as needed of various financial documents.
• Prepares journal entries, account updates, and maintenance in accounting system.
• Collates and copy financial data as requested.
• Generates financial reports in SBT, Tramms, Quickbooks or other accounting systems.
• Creates and prepares various financial support schedules.
• Reviews invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Records documents by vendor account.
• Processes invoices for payment via check, ACH, wires.
• Completes daily cash reconciliations to report cash inflows and outflows.
• Maintains master database for Vendors and customers.
• Work with senior staff accountants on various ad-hoc projects

Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Familiar with the financial sector, services and solutions
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Quickbooks etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts and tools
