Summary of Position:

Our Finance Internship is an accelerated opportunity to experience a corporate setting, learn about the financial industry and be part of our entrepreneurial approach to business. Within their assigned business units, interns will work on meaningful, high-impact projects or assignments in areas such as: underwriting, claims, product research, marketing and/or finance. Interns will also have the opportunity to meet with individuals who work in the other various functions within the group. Our professional, goal-oriented internship program is designed to prepare you for various aspects of finance. This program consists of intensive hands-on training and focuses on teaching you the skills to be successful in this domain. If you are looking for an opportunity to gain experiences in finance, this is a great stepping stone and earns you real world experience!

Responsibilities: 

• Work with CFO to develop and analyze key financial metrics for our fast-growing, early-stage SaaS company.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly or weekly financial reports.

• Build financial models to assess financial and business performance based on key metrics and historical results.

• Build forecast models leveraging insights and key financial objectives.

• Build a deep understanding of key financial metrics around revenue, billings, cash flow and balance sheet liquidity.

• Support new initiatives and capture the changing economics or structure of the business

• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Currently working on completion of Bachelor’s or graduate degree in related field.

• Interest in understanding a business from the finance/accounting perspective.

• General understanding of financial statements, income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.

• Some familiarity with general accounting terms, but deep accounting knowledge not required.

• Experience with PowerPoint a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• skills.

• Strong spreadsheet and modeling building skills with both excel and google docs.

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and in teams.
