Audit Data Analyst
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Livingston, NJ
Responsibilities
• Work as part of a team to identify, design, develop, and document analytics that will support audit testing, continuous auditing, continuous monitoring, automation, and fraud identification.
• Act as a business analyst to develop requirements for reports through interaction with the auditors.
• Script analytic routines that can be pushed to business partners to maximize return on investment.
• Build productive relationships with internal audit team members, peers, data owners and IT to ensure availability of information and to encourage the development of new analytics.
• Support the corporate investigations group with periodic forensic investigations and root cause analyses.

Qualifications
• Programming experience in one of the following languages: SQL, Python, C# or Perl.
• Experience with database development. ETL package development/deployment is highly desirable.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, index/match, and macros.
• Experience with visualization tools, such as Power BI, Qlikview, and/or Tableau, is a plus.
• Ability to synthesize meaningful insights from disparate sources of data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working as a member of a multi-member team on a variety of cross-department projects.
• Maintains a healthy level of auditor skepticism in all situations.Education & Experience: 
• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Accounting, Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Decision Sciences, Data Sciences or related field.

Data Analyst MBA Intern
Job Type: Internship
Location:  San Jose, CA
Responsibilities
• Autonomously collect data and create reports to improve cloud migration strategy insights and processes.
• Document work and train others on the reports, processes and tools created.
• Prototype and develop dashboards for data analysis, providing recommendation based on analysis.
• Work with the Cloud and Customer Solutions team as they plan and coordinate future strategies.

Qualifications
• Working towards an MBA or Masters in Computer Science or similar degree from an accredited university or college.
• Ability to translate business questions into structured analysis, take data analytics into business insights, make data-driven decisions and highly results-oriented.
• Demonstrate experience, familiarity and ease with handling large data sets and crunching numbers.
• Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills as well as experience in the role of using statistical analysis.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex problems into simpler terms, and effectively influence both peers and senior leadership.
• Effective communicator with an open-minded attitude within a diverse community of technical and non-technical stake holders.
• The ideal candidate will have technical familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Panarama.

(Intern) Data Analytics Engineering
Job Type: Internship
Location: San Francisco, CA
Responsibilities
• Use best practices to build data architecture and combine multiple data streams so that our business users can read results in SQL, Big Query and one-off reports.
• Identify, analyze and report on performance and KPIs such as device field performance metrics, manufacturing data, cohort analyses, demand planning, returns metrics etc.
• Help optimize team efficiency by refining our supply/demand matching processes
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in the business through data
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices

Qualifications
• Is pursuing a major focused on analytics, data science or statistics
• Is passionate about applied analytics – you love data, gleaning insights from data and making data driven decisions
• Has experience with mySQL (or similar), R and Python and analytics tools (Google Analytics and Tableau)
• Has experience with quantitative analysis – experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets using SQL(or graphQL) and understand basic statistics; experience with advanced visualization tools is a plus
• Has excellent communication and presentation skills – effectively presenting insights is as important as the insights themselves

Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Executive Director of Marketing Operations
• Work closely with Project Management and other Marketing teams, including Digital, Web, and Creative
• Facilitate project workflows and provide updates to management
• Run weekly reports and provide insights and recommendations based on data

Qualifications
• Must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Management, or closely related field.
• Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the entire internship period beginning May 27th, 2020 and ending August 14th, 2020.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.

Marketing Intelligence Intern
Job Type: Internship
Location:  Gilbert, AZ
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Marketing Intelligence Team to assume responsibility for daily operational tasks within HubSpot, Google Ads, CRM, Tableau and any other applicable systems.
• Ensure accurate delivery of email campaigns while working with brand marketing managers and internal stakeholders through development, proofing, QA and deployment.
• Drive timely execution of the marketing promotional calendar through excellent project management skills, ability to multitask effectively, and work cross-functionally.
• Consistently help identify and test new marketing messages, segmentations, and overall strategies to improve automation ROI.
• Review paid ad effectiveness and change out copy to consistently improve ROAS.
• Provide weekly reporting across email campaigns, paid marketing tactics, onsite lead generation strategies as well as competitor assessments.
• Other duties as assigned.
