| Financial Analyst Intern |
| Job Type: Internship Location: Schaumburg, IL |
| Responsibilities • Assist functional teams in analyzing actual expense vs. budget/forecast, identifying and communicating key variance drivers and insights to Financial Planning & Analysis and business leadership • Develop financial KPI’s and metrics to facilitate discussion and understanding of planned vs. actual spend with key business leaders • Assist in preparing quarterly balance sheet and cash flow models • Develop financial reports using various software packages (e.g. Vena, Excel, NetSuite, etc.) • Support various members the FP&A team including Managers and Directors • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as needed • Lead/support various special projects as assigned Qualifications • Currently enrolled in a college degree program working toward a Bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation of Spring 2021; Finance or Accounting major preferred Experience with MS office, preferably Excel, Word, and Outlook • G.P.A of 3.3/4.0 or higher • A basic understanding of GAAP and the core financial statements • Experience with MS office, preferably Excel, Word, and Outlook • Previous experience working in an office environment preferred • Strong interpersonal communication, writing and organizational skills |

| Responsibilities • Assist with month-end close by preparing journal entries • Assist in preparing accurate, meaningful reports on an ad hoc basis for senior management • Update financial databases and practice data mining • Support the accounts receivable and invoicing process • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field • Must be in your Junior/Senior year of your undergraduate degree • Must currently hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher • At least 2 references upon request (this may be from previous or existing professors) • Must be able to work for 2-3 days out of the week • Maintain a professional appearance and be enthusiastic • Internship experience in Finance is not required but is preferred • Ability to adhere to stringent deadlines and operational procedures |

| Responsibilities • Assist in operational forecasts and performance reporting. • Assist with the Monthly Business Reporting packages and other monthly/quarterly reporting. • Support estimating department with rate calculations for major proposals. • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on an as needed basis. • Support any internal or external audits. • Back-up analyst for Cash and Month End Closing Supplemental Reporting. • Support customer invoicing process. Qualifications • Must have a high level of MS Excel knowledge; working knowledge and usage of PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word • Must have sound understanding of basic financial concepts • Must be organized, have sound communication/analytical skills, work well alone or in groups, and be motivated • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant degree. |
