Intern: Financial Analyst (Spring 2020)
Job Type: Internship
Location: Dublin, CA
Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting
• Support cost deployment data collection and analysis
• Assist with financial reports and journal entries
• Creating annual/monthly/quarterly schedules
• Support the tracking of our physical inventory
• As applicable to assigned business area, perform in-depth analysis of on-going operations. Identify important trends, key risk, and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement

Qualifications
• Attention to Detail: Monitoring adherence to standards and actively checking for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on 
• Communication: listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably and actively seeking feedback non-defensively 
• Flexibility: performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments 
• Dependability/Reliability: Following through on commitments, producing timely work to promote a higher standard; pitching in to get the job done
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills Minimum Education and Experience 
• Applicants must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Business (with preference for Finance or Accounting), at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship
• Student should have minimum GPA of 3.0 and are required work less than 30 hours per week and must be enrolled as full-time student.

Financial Analyst (Intern)
Job Type: Internship
Location: San Jose, CA
Responsibilities
• Create new and dynamic business models and come up with profitable strategies
• Turn data into the information that’ll solve business problems
• Assist in finding the balance between giving our shareholders the greatest value and meeting the technological and business needs of our customers
• Learn and develop the business acumen and technical accounting and finance skills necessary to excel as a future finance leader
• Collaborate and interact with finance Leaders, cross-functional teams, and other LIFT professionals

Qualifications
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, accounting, economics, or related business field of study (“rising senior” during the summer internship)
• Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA 
• Passion for finance, leadership and technology 
• Understand business and industry trends 
• Exceptional communicator and contributor to teams

FINANCIAL ANALYST 2020 
Job Type: Internship
Location:  Raleigh, NC
Responsibilities
• Provide guidelines for standard cost approaches used in business decisions; establish and monitor cost reduction programs
• Provide root/cause driver analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating the results into business insights and actions
• Provide direction to functional counterparts in operating units as required, and to operating and senior management on matters involving cost determination problems, or issues such as inventory valuation, distribution of overhead, treatment of joint costs and product pricing
• Conduct special studies and analyses such as determination of work-in-house or subcontract and cost impact of proposed facilities or processes
• Identify and investigate issues related to assigned projects by selecting an approach from an accepted body of methodology or recommended alternatives
• Define assumptions for the quantification and analysis of investments, acquisitions, or divestitures. Participate in the development of long-range financial forecasts and related budgets, considering alternative scenarios and economic prospects as appropriate
• Provide fact-based financial analysis that supports the business case for proposed investment
• Present verbal and written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations and entire industries
• Partner with internal customers to implement performance management rhythms
• Provide external financial information on competitors and the industry

Qualifications
• 2020 Rising Junior or Senior
• Preferred Majors: Economics, Finance, Business
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, AS/400 and PeopleSoft skills
• Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals or technical procedures
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
