Financial Analyst Intern |
Job Type: Full-time Location: Wilmington, DE |
Responsibilities • Working with the Health Care Data Analytics group and with the Financial Performance Management group, ensure that leadership has access to timely, accurate, complete, and actionable data, including providing monthly financial statements. If issues arise during the preparation or distribution of data, work with the appropriate subject matter experts and stakeholders to resolve issues. This includes working with the Accounting and Budget Departments to ensure financial data are always accurate. • Assist the Financial Performance Management group in developing and monitoring operational and capital budgets, including revenue and all expenses.Identify and investigate opportunities for revenue generation. For example, ensure that all charges are captured and appropriately billed. • Provide appropriate support to revenue cycle personnel such as scheduling, registration, authorization and utilization management, financial counseling, and billing to insure claims are paid appropriately by both insurance and patient/families. Assure a customer/patient focused process that aligns with our patient-centered True North statement. • Actively manage expenses, including collaborating with materials management to improve supply chain operations. Identify the root causes of expense variances, collaborate with others to develop countermeasures, and aggressively work to resolve expense variances. • Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources, such as equipment, space, and Associates. Work with the Health Care Analytics team and Decision Support team to develop cost accounting tools as necessary. • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical administration to review financial and operational data, develop counter measures as appropriate, and, when necessary, provide education. • Lead data literacy and financial literacy initiatives throughout the Delaware Valley, including developing an Analytics Community. Teach Associates how to use apps (Qlik, etc) to analyze data as well as help Associates understand how to use data to drive decision making. • Perform a variety of daily support tasks as necessary, such as creating new accounting units, approving FTE requisitions, approving invoices, etc. • Enthusiastically assist in the performance of any other task as necessary to ensure that the Operational Finance team is able to support all Delaware Valley operations. Quantitative Research Associate Intern |
Job Type: Internship Location: Boston, MA |
Responsibilities • Work within quantitative research team on projects related to development of quantitative alpha models and/or the technology underlying those subjects. • Assist in the development and implementation of disciplined quantitative processes focused on alpha generation, portfolio construction and risk management. • Effectively communicate results of processes and research.Assume itional projects and responsibilities as required. Financial Analyst |

Responsibilities • Responsible for reconciliations and balancing between third-party tax reports and payroll tax summary reports to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting. • Maintain accurate records of quarterly and annual returns filed by third-party service provider or self-filed. • Handle prior-quarter and prior-year adjustments using service provider tools. Work with third-party service provider to resolve issues or create amendments. • Monitor notices from third-party service provider related to HR or payroll data issues requiring resolution. Respond to payroll tax notices from Federal, State, and Local agencies. • Respond to internal and external queries related to tax withholdings, W2’s, and tax elections. Handle W-2c adjustments through Social Security Administration Business Services. • Work with Corporate Legal and Tax departments to handle administrative tasks related to new tax jurisdiction setup. • Audit employee tax profile setup to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensure uncollected taxes are collected from employees. • Provide support to payroll team regarding tax questions and calculations. • Ensures SOX compliance for all processes and procedures. • Responds promptly and correctly to inquiries from internal and external auditors Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (business, finance, accounting preferred) • 3-5 years relevant experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access • Proficient in department’s Payroll/Accounting/Financial Systems • Accounting/Payroll knowledge, including process, procedures and internal controls • Solid analysis, research and audit skills |

Accounting Internship |

Responsibilities • Completes bank and/or account reconciliations. • Performs filing as needed of various financial documents. • Prepares journal entries, account updates, and maintenance in accounting system. • Collates and copy financial data as requested. • Generates financial reports in SBT, Tramms, Quickbooks or other accounting systems. • Creates and prepares various financial support schedules. • Reviews invoices for accuracy and completeness. • Records documents by vendor account. • Processes invoices for payment via check, ACH, wires. • Completes daily cash reconciliations to report cash inflows and outflows. • Maintains master database for Vendors and customers. • Work with senior staff accountants on various ad-hoc projects Qualifications • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation • Familiar with the financial sector, services and solutions • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Quickbooks etc.) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Ability to work independently and in teams • Ability to quickly absorb new technical concepts and tools |
